[SSRC] 100x Conference 2023 Held

On Tuesday, September 5th, the international conference '100x Conference 2023' was held at the Cinema TRAP of Korea University's Media Hall, under the theme 'Doubling Technologies that will Transform Digital Content Production.'

Hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do and organized by SSRC, this conference embodies the idea that the convergence of digital technologies will pioneer a new industrial market that is more than 100 times larger than existing industries.

At the event, experts in the digital field from both domestic and international circles gathered to discuss the current state and future direction, focusing on the importance of Web 3.0 and the prospects of the future digital convergence industry.

In addition to presentations by researchers from domestic research institutions and universities, keynote speeches by notable figures such as Philip Galler, CEO of Lux Machina Consulting, and the head of VR Crew drew attention. Particularly, the event received significant attention with the participation of key figures from overseas, including core associates from 'Disney' and 'HBO,' as well as special visual effects producers for movies like 'Star Wars' and 'Barbie.'

The event, consisting of ten topic presentations and discussions, was successfully concluded with the attendance of about 150 industry-academia-research related personnel, including SSRC Director Kim Sung-chul, Korea University President Kim Dong-won, and Gyeongsangbuk-do Governor Lee Cheol-woo.

Through this event, we believe that we have created an opportunity to enhance understanding of the recently much-attended topics of artificial intelligence, Web 3.0, and real-time technologies, while also highlighting South Korea's digital content power as a hub for K-content.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who participated in this conference.
